This kit is based on Armstrong's original design, with an
tube RF amplifier stage which improves reception of weak
signals, a tube regenerative detector stage, and a solid state
audio amplifier stage which provides ample listening volume. This type of
receiver was popular in the mid to late 1930's.
Easy assembly - all the components are mounted on a high quality
silk-screened fibre glass printed circuit board.
No coils to wind - that has already been done for you! And
simple to follow instructions with both schematics and wiring
diagrams!
The iGen receivers run off 12 volts, so are completely safe
to build and use, no nasty high voltages, it is a great way to
learn a new hobby!
You get a manual, all the parts including valves,
sockets, jack plugs, tuning capacitors, coils, resistors, wire,
nuts and bolts etc.
