The four  valve kit is based on Armstrong's original design, with an RF amplifier stage which improves reception of weak signals, a regenerative detector stage, and two AF amplifier stage with high quality 4 inch loud-speaker provides ample listening volume. This type of receiver was popular in the mid to late 1930's.
