Flexible Resistors |
Custom made reproduction flexible resistors
as used in many 1920's and 1930's radio receivers like Philco and Atwater
Kent. They are made as close as
possible to the original patterns, subject to the use of modern materials
the only limitation is the sleeving diameters which can only be 2mm or 4mm.
The low ohmic value flexible resistors
are constructed from spiral resistance wire on a core covered in silicone
sleeving and then covered in woven glass fibre braid. The high ohmic value,
flexible resistors are constructed using a metal oxide film, and have a
different construction internally, externally they all look the same.
Different colour braids are available as is
custom marking i.e. body colour flex, and bands/dots. The ends can be
supplied either with crimped ferrules or pig-tail's (again crimped).
